Karen Sue (Schmitt) Row, age 63, of Troy, IL., died Tuesday, October 28, 2008, at Hitz Memorial Home in Alhambra, IL.
She was born February 18, 1945, in Highland, IL., the daughter of Louis and Doris Katherine Margaret(Gaertner) Schmitt.
On June 15, 1963, she married Charles W. Row , who survives.
Mrs. Row was born at Highland, grew up in Troy where she graduated Triad High School in 1963. She married and lived in Troy. For 10 years she was a Dietary Manager at Edwardsville Center East, she retied in 1990. She enjoyed traveling with her Aunt Gladys; Cardinal Spring Training every year, Hawaii, Branson, South America, riding Gold Wing with her husband, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ - Troy, IL.
She was also a member of Women's Guild of Friedens UCC; Hitz Home Aux Board; Volunteered with Ministries Unlimited of Troy, IL; Sang in Church Choir; Played in the church Handbell Choir.

Row of Troy, Ill., Daughter-Sheila R. (Randy) Waggoner of Livingston, Ill., Son-Clifford "Chip" L. (Erin) Row of Collinsville, Ill., Grandchild-Jason D. (Jennifer) Barker, Grandchild-George R. Barker III, Grandchild-Tim (Heather N.) Farr, Grandchild-Dylan S. Harris, Grandchild-Cody D. Harris, Grandchild-Larry A. Ellis, III, Grandchild-Senior Airman Christopher C. Ellis, USAF, Grandchild-Kayla M. Haller, Grandchild-Brady T. Waggoner, Grandchild-Jadyn N. Row, Grandchild-Ian C. Row, Gr Grandchild-Katie L. Interment will be at Friedens UCC Cemetery in Troy, Ill.
