Oscar Noeltner
Oscar F. "Ozzie" Noeltner, age 94, of Highland, IL., died Sunday, March 9, 2008, at his home in Highland, IL.
He was born March 5, 1914, in Saint Jacob, IL., the son of William and Emma (nee Ahlmeyer) Noeltner.
On October 19, 1937, he married Norma L. Noeltner, who passed away November 16, 2005.
He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Highland, IL; Knights of Columbus, Council #1580 (50 yr member), Highland, IL; Helvetia Sharpshooters Society, Highland, IL.
Mr. Noeltner grew up on a farm west of St. Jacob. Following his marriage, they lived in St. Jacob and in 1948 moved to a home south Marine. In 1951 he purchased a farm north of Marine and in 1956 moved to Highland and purchased Wilbur Rutz's Barber Shop, renaming it Ozzie's Barber Shop. He was a barber, owning and operating the shop until retiring in 1978 at age 68. After moving off the grain farm, he continued to help his son-in-law operate the farm. He enjoyed dancing, bingo, euchre, rummy and fishing in the Ozarks.

(fiance-Ty Renko) Wildhaber of Highland, Ill., Nicolas G. Hanna of Highland, Ill., Joshua R. Seyler of Florida, Austin R. Holtzclaw of Highland, Ill., Tanner R. Farmer of Highland, Ill., Emily N. Holtzclaw of Highland, Ill., Sister In-law-Helen Noeltner of Hemet, Calif., Sister In-law-Lynette Noeltner of Edwardsville, Ill.
He was preceeded in death by his Father-William Noeltner, Mother-Emma Noeltner (nee Ahlmeyer), Wife-Norma L. Noeltner Son In-law-Richard L. "Rich" Rehkemper (died 12/18/04), Grandchild-Ronnie R. Rehkemper (died 11/25/1989), Brother-William Noeltner, Brother-Henry Noeltner, Sister-Ella Niehaus, Sister-Edith Mersinger, Brother In-law-Arnold Niehaus, Brother In-law-Ben Mersinger.
Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, Ill.
Service InformationVisitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, and from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM Thursday, March 13, 2008, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 13, 2008, at Saint Paul Catholic Church in Highland, IL., with Fr. Charles A. Edwards, Pastor, St. Paul Catholic Church, Highland, IL, officiating.
Interment will be at Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Highland, Ill.
