Martha L. Boeker
Martha L. Boeker, 95, died September 10, 2005, at Hitz Memorial Home in Alhambra, Ill., at 1:35 p.m.
Martha was born August 29, 1910, in Strasburg, Ill., to William and Emma (Wirth) Schroeder. They preceded her in death. She married Erwin W. Boeker on June 11,1933, in Hamel, Ill. He died June 29, 1974.
Martha was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hamel, Ill., and a member of the St. Paul Ladies Aid, Woman's Missionary League, Alhambra and Hamel Senior Citizens, and the Golden Agers. She enjoyed gardening, canning, baking, quilting, and playing cards.
She is survived by a son, Richard W. (Margie) Boeker of Hamel; one daughter, Dolores E. Valent of Edwardsville, Ill.; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded by two brothers, Martin and Arthur Schroeder; and two sisters, Hilda Engelke and Mattie Anschuetz.
Service InformationVisitation will be held Tuesday, September 13, 2005, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hamel.
Funeral services will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Tuesday September 13, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev William Weedon and Rev. Charles Lehmann officating. Burial will be at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Hamel, IL
Memorials may be made to the church or Hitz Memorial Home.
