Edmund Beall Kamm
Edmund Beall Kamm, age 78, of Highland, IL., died Tuesday, October 2, 2007, at Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, IL.
He was born July 10, 1929, in Highland, IL., the son of Edmund and Fern (Leriche) Kamm.
On May 30, 1949, he married Betty L. Kamm, nee Rutz, who survives.
Mr. Kamm served in the US Army in 1948 with duty in Japan & Germany. He worked at Alton & Southern Railroad, then Granite City Steel from 1964-1994.
He enjoyed bird watching; collecting antique clocks; he was an animal lover. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ-Highland, IL.
He was also a member of AF&AM Lodge #583-Highland, IL (50 yr member); VFW Post 5694-Highland, IL; Steelworkers Local-Granite City, IL.
Survivors include Wife-Betty L. Kamm, nee Rutz of Highland, Ill., Son-Andrew C. "Andy" (Kathy) Kamm of Highland, Ill., Son-Daniel B. Kamm, Daughter-Janna M. Kamm of Highland, Ill., Daughter-Julie E. (Fiance Karl G. Schrage) Ramsey of Trenton, Ill., Grandchild-Jessica F. (Husband Lucas Brower) Kamm of Los Angeles, Calif., Grandchild-Aaron T. Kamm of Edwardsville, Ill., Grandchild-Jordan M. Kamm of Highland, Ill., Grandchild-Daniel E. Ramsey of Trenton, Ill., Grandchild-Shannon C. Ramsey of Charleston, Ill.
He was preceeded in death by Father-Edmund Beall Kamm, Sr. and Mother-Fern M. Kamm, nee Leriche.
Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, Ill.Service InformationVisitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Friday, October 5, 2007, at Evangelical United Church of Christ in Highland, IL.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 5, 2007, at Evangelical United Church of Christ in Highland, IL., with Rev. Dr. David Beebe, Senior Interim Pastor, Evangelical United Church of Christ-Highland, IL officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Highland Animal Shelter, Evangelical United Church of Christ, or American Lung Association.
