Iola E. Schwehr
Iola E. (nee Bleisch) Schwehr, age 95, of Highland, IL., died Friday, July 18, 2008, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Highland, IL.
She was born January 1, 1913, in Pierron, IL., the daughter of Edwin and Dora (nee Beck) Bleisch.
On October 17, 1959, she married Ellsworth F. "John" Schwehr (died 2/17/2008).
She was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ, Highland, IL; Women's Guild of the Church; Charter Member of the Highland Business & Professional Women, served as the treasurer for the first two years; Hitz Home Auxillary, Faith Countryside Auxillary; influential in organizing the Highland Square Dancing; BGL of St. Louis; Highland Meals On Wheels.
Born in Pierron, Illinois, Bond County. A 1930 graduate of Highland High School, Highland, IL,; attended Washington University School of Nursing. Worked 6 1/2 years (1943 to 1950) for pediatricians in St. Louis, MO; then worked 28 years (1950 to 1978) in the office of Dr. Edward L. Hediger, MD, later known as Highland Physicians Ltd., she was the manager most of her years there.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking, square dancing, golf, fishing, playing cards (played Bridge at the Weinheimer every Friday), going to the cottage with her husband and travelling.

Teichert (died 7/19/2007), Nephew-Curtis Duft (died 5/18/2001), Sister-Dorothy Duft (died 1964), Sister-Delma Widman (died 9/20/2006) and Brother-Floyd Bleisch (died 1985).Service InformationArrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, Ill.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, July 21, 2008, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, and from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 22, 2008. , at Evangelical United Church of Christ, Highland, Illinois.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at Evangelical United Church of Christ in Highland, IL., with Rev. Christopher W. Hill, Pastor,

officiating.
Interment will be at Highland City Cemetery in Highland, Ill.
