Phyllis J. Regazzi
Phyllis June (Bishop) Regazzi, age 72, of Highland, IL, died Monday, August 27, 2007, at Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, Illinois.
She was born June 1, 1935, in Norris City, IL, the daughter of Woodroe and Hazel (Buttry) Bishop.
She was also a member of Highland Sportsmen Club; Former Member-Highland Food & Beverage Assoc.
Born at Norris City, IL and grew up there. She lived at Pekin, E. St. Louis, St. Jacob and St. Rose; all in Illinois; until moving to Highland, IL, in the early 1980's. She has worked at Ethel's, L& M Tavern, Cookies and then took over the Rail Shake Inn in the early 1990's. It is still open and being operated by her daughter & son in-law as Phyllis's Rail Shake Inn.
She enjoyed, going to Las Vegas and the "Boats", her grandchildren, socializing, going out to eat, being with people and dancing.
Survivors include two daughters-Jackie F. (David) Garmon of Highland, Ill. and Sabrina J. (Phil) Swaim of Tucson, Ariz., Grandchildren-Danielle R. Zobrist of Highland, Ill., Whitney N. Garmon of Highland, Ill., Gauge M. Garmon of Greenville, Ill., Kelly Swaim of Tucson, Ariz., Sister-Diane (H. Mark Brand) DiSandro-Brand of Sugar Land, Texas, Niece-Debra L. (Mark) Hansen of Highland, Ill., Great Nieces & Nephews-Madonna Sue Dale, Casey L. Cottrill, Ryan Dale, Eric (Susan) Dale, Derek L. Dale, Uncle-Dallas "Coonie" Buttry of Pekin, Ill., Dear Friends-Dennis & Reva Bargetzi of Highland, Ill.
She was preceeded in death by her Father-Woodroe W. Bishop, Mother-Hazel I. Bishop, nee Buttry (dod 12/31/01), Sister-Donna S. Dale (dod 4/14/06), Nephew-William G. "Gary" Dale, Jr. (died 12/25/2005).
Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, Ill.Service InformationVisitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, August 30, 2007, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, and from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM Friday, August 31, 2007, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 31, 2007, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL., with Rev. Dr. David Beebe, Interim Sr. Pastor, Evangelical United Church of Christ, Highland, Illinois officiating.
Interment will be at Highland City Cemetery in Highland, Ill.
Memorial contributions may be made to Cardinal Glennon Childrens Hospital, St. Louis, MO.
