Marion Olive
Marion L. Olive, age 86, of New Douglas, IL., died Sunday, October 29, 2006, at Eden Village Retirement Center in Glen Carbon, IL.
He was born October 2, 1920, in New Douglas, IL., the son of Walter and Mary Ann (Webb) Olive.
On March 16, 1957, he married Maria Olive, nee Ponce , who survives.
Mr. Olive was born and raised on the family farm in northeast Olive Township, Madison County, Illinois. He farmed there most of his life; for the last 40 years, he and his wife have lived in New Douglas. Mr. Olive was the sexton of Olive Cemetery, New Douglas Cemetery and Kirkland Cemetery.
Survivors include Wife-Maria Olive, nee Ponce of New Douglas, Ill., Son-George N. (Dawn) Olive of Collinsville, Ill., Daughter-Maria P. Olive of New Douglas, Ill., Grandson-Jordan G. Olive of Collinsville, Ill.
He was preceded in death by Father-Walter George Olive, Mother-Mary Ann Olive, nee Webb, Brother-Lawrence W. Olive (DOD 09/11/1981), Brother-Ralph Olive (died as an infant).Service InformationArrangements are being handled by Dauderman Mortuary in Alhambra, Ill.
Graveside Service will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, November 1, 2006, at Olive Cemetery in Livingston, IL., with Rev. Mark Gause, Pastor, First Baptist Church, Alhambra, IL, officiating.
Interment will be at Olive Cemetery in Livingston, Ill.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
