Dean H. Peters

Dean H. Peters, age 76 of Pocahontas, IL, died Thursday, January 26, 2012, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Highland, IL.

He was born on Wednesday, May 08, 1935, in St. Louis, MO, the son of Eugene J and Lorraine B (nee Burcham) Peters.

He married Lillian Margene Peters (nee Lockwood) who survives.

Mr. Peters was born at St. Louis, Missouri and raised in Granite City, IL. He served with the US Air Force from Sept. 1954 to May 1960. He worked for 42 years at Granite City Steel, retiring in June of 1995 as a millwright. He enjoyed machine work and gardening.

Son - Dwayne E. Peters, Mitchell, IL
Son - Dannie D. (Dianna) Peters, Edwardsville, IL
Son - Dennis K. (Denice) Peters, Edwardsville, IL
Son - Dale J. (Sherri) Peters, Breese, IL
Grandchildren - 14
Great Grandchildren - 6
Half Sister - Norma Jean Grist, Cloverdale, CA

He was preceded in death by:
Father - Eugene Joseph Peters
Mother - Lorraine Beatrice Peters.

Service Information

Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.

No Visitation or Funeral Service will be held.

Private Interment will be at Highland City Cemetery in Highland, IL at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude\\\\\\\'s Children Hospital; American Cancer Society or American Heart Assoc.
