Mehl nee Bell, age 69, of Saint Ann, MO., died Saturday, July 24, 2010, at her residence in Saint Ann, MO. She was born June 8, 1941, in Neoga, IL., the daughter of Jesse and Gladys (Hitchcock) Bell. Betty was born in Neoga, IL and grew up there. She was a 1959 graduate of Neoga High School. She worked for Eisner Food Store in Mattoon, IL; then moved to the St. Louis area and worked at Dillard's in Fairview Heights where she retired. She moved to St. Ann, MO in 2000 to live near her daughter. She enjoyed reading, old movies, time spent with friends and family, her cat "Mitzi", and raising plants and flowers. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church - St. Louis, MO. Survivors include Son-Terry M. (Brenna) Bell of Highland, Ill., Son-In-Law-Abimael Estrada of Richmond, Va., Grandaughter-Jessica M. Bell of Highland, Ill., Grandaughter-Jenna G. Bell of Highland, Ill., Grandson-Romelo Estrada of Richmond, Va., Sister-Joanne M. Rotramel of Arlington Heights, Ill., Brother-Delbert W. (Donna) Bell of Paris, Ill., Sister-in-law-Mary Bell of Lovington, Ill., Brother-in-law-John Welsh of Gays, Ill. She was preceded in death by Father-Jesse R. Bell, Mother-Gladys M. Bell nee Hitchcock, Daughter-Willie R. Estrada died 2006, Brother-Donald L. Bell, Brother-Thomas L. Bell, Sister-Barbara J. Arnold, Sister-Carolyn M. Welsh, Brother-in-law-Fred Rotramel Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, Ill. Service Information Memorial services will be at 10:30 AM on Thursday, July 29, 2010, at First Congregational Church in Highland, IL. with Rev.
