Deborah J. Renken
Deborah Janelle Renken, age 52, of Edwardsville, IL., died Friday, July 9, 2010, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.
She was born November 6, 1957, in Litchfield, IL., the daughter of Norman and Loraine (Hosto) Renken.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hamel, IL.
Ms. Renken attended St. Paul Lutheran Elementary School and graduated from Edwardsville High School in 1976. She had worked in the cafeteria at Hamel Elementary School until the early 1990's. She had moved to Edwardsville in 1990 to live at the Madison County Shelter Home and then moved to Dogwood Home (Community Independent Living Arrangements). She enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals; doing word-search puzzles; and reading the newspaper.
Survivors include Sister-Karen "Sue" (Daniel) Thiems of Pocahontas, Ill., Brother-David N. (Ronna) Renken of Hamel, Ill., Brother In-law-Cornell (Karen) Harvey of O'Fallon, Mo., Nephew-Justin D. Thiems of Pocahontas, Ill., Nephew-Zach A. Thiems of Pocahontas, Ill., Nephew-Jared M. Thiems of Pocahontas, Ill., Niece-Anna L. Renken of Hamel, Ill., Niece-Laura R. Renken of Hamel, Ill., Niece-Tessa J. Renken of Hamel, Ill.
She was preceded in death by Father-Norman R. Renken, Mother-Loraine A. Renken nee Hosto, Sister-Diane L. Harvey nee Renken died 1996
Arrangements are being handled by Dauderman Mortuary in Hamel, Ill.Service InformationVisitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, July 12, 2010, at Dauderman Mortuary in Hamel, IL, and from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Hamel, IL.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Hamel, IL., with Rev. William Gleason, Ass't.Pastor of St.Paul Lutheran Church in Hamel, IL officiating.
Interment will be at Saint Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Hamel, Ill.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
