Lenore L. Frey
Lenore L. Frey nee Gall, age 93, of Highland, IL., died Sunday, February 14, 2010, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Highland, IL.
She was born January 24, 1917, in Cabool, MO., the daughter of Frank and Lulu (Pfister) Gall.
On January 26, 1938, she married Wilbur E. A. Frey, who passed away September 19, 1996.
Mrs. Frey was born in Missouri; as a small child, she and her family moved to the Pierron area; there she attended the Immaculate Conception Church school at Pierron. Following marriage, she and her husband farmed at Old Ripley for 3-4 years, then moving to Pocahontas for 1 1/2 years and then to the family farm northwest of Pocahontas. They retired and moved to Highland in September of 1973. She was a longtime bowler at Grantfork Bowl. She enjoyed playing cards, visiting with friends at McDonalds, gardening and quilting.
She was a member of Saint Paul Catholic Church.
She was also a member of Former member of St. Nicholas Altar Society, 45 years VFW Auxiliary Post 4359, St. Anne's Altar Society.
Survivors include Son-Gerald A. "Jerry" (Sandy) Frey of Sun City Center, Fla., Son-Wayne J. Frey of Highland, Ill., Daughter-Yvonne "Bonnie" M. A. (Ronald) Rutz of Pocahontas, Ill., Daughter-Donna L. J. (Robert) Guetterman of Branson, Mo., Son-In-Law-Lewis Workman of Pocahontas, Ill., Grandchildren-Fourteen Grandchildren, Gr Grandchildren-Twenty-Seven Great Grandchildren, Gr Gr Grandchildren-Three Great Great Grandchildren, Step Gr Grandchildren-Two Step Great Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by Father-Frank A. Gall, Mother-Lulu K. Gall nee Pfister, Husband-Wilbur E. A. Frey, died 9/19/1996, Daughter-Barbara Workman, died 1/5/2003, Sister-Melba E. Frey died 2/13/1984, Brother-Delmar O. Gall, died 1/10/2008, Brother-Ralph D. Gall, Sister-Loretta W. Rickher, died 09/24/2001
Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, Ill.Service InformationVisitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, February 18, 2010, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, and from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM Friday, February 19, 2010. , at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 19, 2010, at Saint Paul Catholic Church in Highland, IL., with Rev. Fr. Charles A. Edwards, Fr. David L. Peters, and Fr. Carlos Bohorquez
officiating.
Interment will be at Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Highland, Ill.
