Bernice M. Bircher
Bernice M. (nee Riegel) Bircher, age 88, of Highland, IL., died Friday, February 12, 2010, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Highland, IL.
She was born June 17, 1921, in Highland, IL., the daughter of Robert and Ida (nee Raeber) Riegel.
On February 14, 1942, she married Milton L. "Pete" Bircher, who passed away October 15, 2001.
She was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ-Highland, IL.
Mrs. Bircher was born in Highland, IL and grew up on a farm. After her marriage, she helped on the farm. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking and helping neighbors and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, February 16, 2010, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, and from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home, Highland, IL.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL., with Rev. Christopher W. Hill, Pastor, Evangelical United Church of Christ, Highland, IL, officiating.
Interment will be at Highland City Cemetery in Highland, Ill.
