Albert G. Ernst
Albert G. Ernst, age 84, of Hamel, IL., died Sunday, September 20, 2009, at his home, Hamel, IL.
He was born August 28, 1925, east of Alhambra, IL., the son of Albert and Mathilda (nee Boehme) Ernst, Sr.
On September 29, 1946, he married Ruth M. Schumacher , who survives.
He was a member of Saint Paul Lutheran Church-Hamel, IL; St. Paul Men's Club; former-St. Paul Trustee; St. Paul Church Trustee; Hamel City Board Member for 25 years; Board of Directors w/ the Southern IL District of Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod; Alhambra American Legion; and Hamel Volunteer Fire Department.
Albert was born and raised east of Alhambra, IL, attended Pisgah Grade School and graduated from Mt. Olive High School. He joined the US Army after school. After his service he worked for Western Cartridge in Alton. He later drove transport for Cassens until 1950 when he started Ernst Heating and Cooling. He retired in 1987. He drove a limousine from Jen's Classic Limo Service in Hamel for 5 years. He and his wife loved to travel.

(Millie) Ernst of Edwardsville, Ill., Grandchild-Heather (Kevin) Reiseck of East Alton, Ill., Grandchild-Cassie Ernst of Hamel, Ill., Grandchild-Roger Ernst II of Wood River, Ill., Grandchild-Dustin Ernst of Edwardsville, Ill., Sister-Lonita Braundmeier of Highland, Ill., Sister-Iona (Irvin) Kline of Franklin, Tenn., Sister-Marie (Dale) Buck of Wilsonville, Ore., Brother-John (Juanita) Ernst of Alhambra, Ill.
He was preceded in death by Father-Albert G. Ernst, Sr., Mother-Mathilda A. Ernst, nee Boehme, Sister-Irma Clayton, Brother-Vernon ErnstService InformationArrangements are being handled by Dauderman Mortuary in Hamel, Ill.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, September 23, 2009, at Dauderman Mortuary in Hamel, IL, and from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM Thursday, September 24, 2009, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Hamel, IL.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 24, 2009, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hamel, IL., with Rev. William Weedon, Pastor, St. Paul Lutheran Church, Hamel, IL
officiating.
Interment will be at Saint Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Hamel, Ill.
