Larry A. Ellis III

Larry A. "Bud" Ellis, III, age 24, of Lincoln, IL., died Friday, July 10, 2009, at Oss St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.

He was born May 8, 1985, in Granite City, IL., the son of Larry A. Ellis, Jr. and Wendy Row.

He was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Troy, IL.

Born at Granite City, Illinois; grew up in Troy, Illinois. He worked for Larry Simms Excavating, Troy, IL; D & D Construction, Troy, IL. While in Florida, on October 21, 2006, he was struck by a car and has been in a coma ever since. Then in November of 2006 his family brought him back to this area to Edwardsville Care Center; May 8, 2007 he was moved to Maple Ridge Care Centre, Lincoln, IL.
He enjoyed shooting his cross-bow, loved to camp, fish, collected knives and clowns.

Survivors include Father-Larry A. Ellis, Jr. of Mt. Vernon, Ill., Mother-Wendy S. Row of Troy, Ill., Brother-Senior Airman, Christopher C. Ellis, USAF of Minot, N.D., Half Sister-Kayla M. Haller of Troy, Ill., Materal Grandfather-Charles W. Row of Troy, Ill., Paternal Grandfather-Larry A. Ellis, Sr. of Mt. Vernon, Ill., Paternal Grandmother-Maxine Ellis of Mt. Vernon, Ill.

He was preceeded in death by Materal Grandmother-Karen S. Row (died 10/28/2008)

Service Information

Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, Ill.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Thursday, July 16, 2009, at Friedens United Church of Christ in Troy, IL.

Memorial service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 16, 2009, at Friedens United Church of Christ in Troy, IL., with Rev. Gerry Proctor, Interim Pastor, Friedens United Church of Christ, Troy, IL, officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Maple Ridge Care Centre.
